Bryn-y-môr Cottage_ a charming three bedroom holiday cottage set at the edge of the village of Llangennith in the Gower peninsula.

Bryn-y-môr Cottage (literally hill of the sea) tells you the whole story in a name. Set on a small farm, on the lower slope of Llanmadoc Down, the cottage is steps away from the unique Wales Coast Path, and looks directly down to the sea at Broughton Bay to the north, and to Rhossili Bay/Llangennith and iconic Worm’s Head to the west. The cottage is owned and managed by Rachel and Mark Bevan who, with two young children, Evie and Noah, have ensured families and couples have everything they might need for a fantastic holiday experience.

Step inside – everything you’d expect and more

As soon as you enter Bryn-y-môr Cottage the space and the views will amaze you. The cleverly-configured living area, bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged on this upper level (at which you’ll enter with no stairs*) to take full advantage of the wonderful position.

The living area has high ceilings, exposed beams and oak floors. You can hunker down on the two large sofas and take in the uninterrupted coastal views through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows or watch TV. Cosy up around the gas-fired wood-burning-effect stove if summer evenings are a little chilly or you just want to cwtch up on winter days. Make yourself a tea or coffee in the additional mini-kitchen area just at hand.

On this level too are the 3 bedrooms: 1 king with ensuite shower and toilet; 1 twin; and 1 single all with luxury bed linen, fitted wardrobes. There’s a luxury 4-piece family bathroom with bath complete with a supply of white fluffy towels. A cot is available if there are little grown-ups in tow.

Downstairs, there’s a beautiful dining area that seats six adjacent to a modern, fully-fitted kitchen equipped with everything the very best of cooks might need for catering and entertaining.

Step outside – 360 degree views

Open up the double doors from the living area to the rear and you’re out onto a fully paved patio area and lawn where we’ve made ready all you might need for outside living. There’s even a sun house for your own use or for the kids to use as a den. Dine alfresco at the table with benches, chairs and parasols or relax on one of the many benches and watch the sun go down over Broughton Bay with a glass of wine in hand at no extra charge.

Out front, take in the views of Worm’s Head in the distance, and close-up, admire the beautifully manicured lawns adjacent to the fenced off natural farm land. With luck, you might get a friendly visit at the fence from one of our farm animals.

If you can bear to leave Bryn-y-môr Cottage, take the footpath onto the slopes of Llanmadoc Down and pick up the track that leads to the beach in less than ten minutes. Or, walk from the cottage along the whole length of Gower’s 39-mile section of the unique 870-mile Wales Coast Path.
